The Walking Dead: Should Rick’s group leave Alexandria? [DISCUSSION]
By Adam Carlson
Following the crazy events of The Walking Dead’s season 6 finale, should Rick Grimes and the people of Alexandria move on and find somewhere else to live?
The season 6 finale of The Walking Dead was an intense episode that left many fans very emotional and overwhelmed. AMC’s zombie survival drama has a way of making every single season finale be full of great stories and horrible situations, leaving fans wondering what happened and what will happen next.

Because of this, many fans turn to social media to discuss their opinions on each episode of the hit show with the rest of the show’s rabid fan base. Thankfully, a lot of that conversation happens on our Facebook page as well as on Twitter at @UndeadWalkingFS.
One question in particular that caught our eye involved the people of Alexandria. The Walking Dead‘s season 6 finale left things in a very bad spot for Rick Grimes and the people of the community, so the question of whether or not it is even safe for them to live there anymore was bound to come up.
Here is that question from one of our fantastic followers on Twitter, Cheryl Rathbun:
We passed this question along to our friends at theStream.tv’s The Walking Dead After Show. Each week following a new episode of The Walking Dead, hosts Su Castillo, Timothy Michael, and Michael Tiberi break down the events fans saw and add their personal spin to the conversation.
They answered that question, and talked about a whole lot more when discussing the season 6 finale. Here is that video from theStream.tv’s YouTube account, with Cheryl’s question being answered around the 30:10 mark:
Timothy Michael doesn’t think running away would do any good. Negan’s group already has a close eye on the people of Alexandria and fleeing might just anger them even more. The Saviors live comfortably off extorting each of the other groups, and Alexandria packing up and leaving would not be something that Negan would like very much at all.
Plus, with all the time spent building up Alexandria, leaving it would be very difficult. Many of those people in the community have never been outside the walls or had to live on the road like Rick’s group has in the past. As Timothy and Michael both said, it is much more likely that Rick and Alexandria play by The Saviors rules until they can find an opportunity to strike.
