The Walking Dead season 6: The ‘Mirror Universe’ theory

Did The Walking Dead give away Negan’s kill before the scene even aired during the season 6 finale? According to the ‘mirror universe’ theory, they did.
Fear The Walking Dead has helped fans temporarily forget about the fact that Negan killed one of the major characters from The Walking Dead during the season 6 finale, but that doesn’t mean fans will stop coming up with theories as to who will be the one with their brains bashed in.

In fact, one fan believes that you didn’t have to watch the season 6 finale at all in order to figure out who Negan’s victim is. This theory is called the ‘Mirror Universe’ theory and is heavily interested in comparing a member of The Saviors with one of Rick’s group.

As you can see, the episode of The Walking Dead in question is “The Same Boat” which is number 613 in the series. During this episode, Maggie Greene and Carol Peletier are taken hostage by some individuals who seem to have lived parallel lives before and after and zombie apocalypse.

The similarities between Maggie and Michelle may seem a little flimsy, but that doesn’t mean they should be discounted. This episode was full of symbolism and projection, including talks about Michelle’s man, child and father.
If Maggie’s future follow the same path that Michelle’s took to this point, that means she’ll lose Glenn as well as her unborn baby. The video hammers home the similarities of these characters by including interviews from Lauren Cohan and a clip from Scott M. Gimple on Talking Dead. Saying that Robert Kirkman has said that there are hints out there as to who Negan has killed.
The video also claims that the individual that was chosen by Negan to die had to be behind Daryl in the order they were taken from the truck. Narrowing it down to Michonne, Rosita, or Glenn. And with the ‘Mirror Universe’ theory already pointing at Glenn, this could just be fate.
However, the video fails to explain why Maggie’s mirror image Michelle is shot in the head by Carol after swiping at Maggie’s pregnant belly with a knife. Shouldn’t this point to Maggie being the victim, since the baby would likely not survive with Maggie’s death?

While this is an interesting theory, there are some holes that are left unexplained. But it is always fun to speculate as to what happened during the final moments of The Walking Dead’s season 6 finale. Fans won’t know for sure who Negan chose until the season 7 premiere, but until then all the best theories will be broken down here on Undead Walking.
