The Walking Dead: Joey Fatone wants to join the show’s cast
By Adam Carlson
Former boy band member and current actor Joey Fatone made a plea at Walker Stalker Con in Chicago for a role on AMC’s zombie drama The Walking Dead.
There was a time when the name Joey Fatone would elicit thousands of young folks screaming at the top of their lungs. When he was a part of popular musical group N*SYNC, they were on top of the world, netting two Diamond Awards, four platinum home video releases, and multiple platinum records.

When N*SYNC broke up in 2002, the band members went their own way. Of course, Justin Timberlake was the individual who made the most noise, but Joey Fatone also went on to have a successful career after the word-famous boy band was done.
Recently, Fatone was part of a zombie movie called Dead 7 along with other former boy band members, but now he has his eyes on a more serious role on AMC’s hit zombie survival drama The Walking Dead.
At Walker Stalker Con in Chicago this weekend, Fatone told the crowd during the Dead 7 Pop Stars panel that he’s ready for a role on the show and even gave reasons why he’d be a great addition to the show’s current cast.
Here is a video of that panel from Shannon Toohey as shared by the great folks at FanFest:
In case you couldn’t make it out in the video, the excited Joey Fatone exclaimed these words to the crowd in attendance:

"“Anybody from Walking Dead, I’d like to be in the show! Joey Fatone just said that. I don’t care if I die, please put me on the show. The Walking Dead, Joey Fatone said that. He’s an actual actor he was in My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2, and a smash hit called Dead 7.”"
Fans may remember another pop star showing up in AMC’s zombie shows when Jesse McCartney was on Fear The Walking Dead as well as another musician, Chris Daughtry, wanting to be on The Walking Dead. However, Fatone’s acting resume is pretty impressive and could actually help land him a role on the show.

Other than the projects listed above, Joey Fatone has been in several other horror movies, including Army of the Damned and Jersey Shore Shark Attack, but fans may know him best for his times on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. Who knows, maybe one day he’s say “Bye Bye Bye” to B-movies and land a role on AMC’s The Walking Dead.
