The Walking Dead: Sheamus and Cusack want roles on the show
By Adam Carlson
Two more celebrities have come along to express interest in a role on AMC’s hit zombie survival drama, namely actor John Cusack and WWE superstar Sheamus.
When something is popular, everyone will want a piece of it. That’s exactly the case with The Walking Dead, as many celebrities, including musician Chris Daughtry, musician Joey Fatone, and several others. But now, two more individuals have thrown their names into the ring.

According to ComicBook.com, John Cusack is one of the latest to express interest in joining the cast of AMC’s The Walking Dead. Cusack has been the star of many hit movies, including Being John Malkovich, Say Anything, 1408, and Grosse Pointe Blank.
The nice thing is that Cusack isn’t even seeking a big role on the show and would be happy to only be there for a brief time.
"“I’m also like strangely a secret zombie movie fan,” Cusack said. “I could show up on Walking Dead and get killed real quick!”"

Also making a plea to be on the show is WWE superstar Sheamus. The man whose real name is Stephen Farrelly has a big role as Rocksteady in the new film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows and has previously been in The Escapist and the television show Royal Pains. According to ComicBook.com, the Irish-born professional wrestler could have a natural fit on the show.
"“He is specifically a big fan of shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead and would love to earn a role on either of those shows. He certainly could have been a solid Tormund on Thrones or possibly an Irish-spun Abraham on The Walking Dead.”"

Up to this point, AMC has been careful as not to cast too many celebrities on the hit AMC zombie survival dramas. For the lucky few that have landed roles on The Walking Dead or Fear The Walking Dead, they are a piece of the show’s great legacy. But who knows, maybe one day we’ll see John Cusack or Sheamus join the cast one of these great programs as well.
