The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series Season 3 reveal

Some major announcements regarding this Fall’s upcoming 3rd season of The Walking Dead: A Telltale Game will be made on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

When talking about The Walking Dead‘s rabid fan base, much of the conversation turns to the hit AMC drama or the popular comic book series. However, gamers have come to adore the hit video game series from Telltale Games.

Focusing on the relationship between Lee and Clementine, Telltale Games has been able to tell a unique story in the universe of The Walking Dead. Hitting all the right notes and providing simple, but compelling gameplay, the game series has released two successful seasons as well as a miniseries based on Michonne.

However, with Season 3 of the series being scheduled for release this Fall, fans are wondering what direction the game will go and what is next for the survivors to deal with. Thankfully, according to a press release on the official Telltale Games blog, fans will get a bit of info on the new series on Sunday, June 12, 2016.

"“This Sunday, we’ll be revealing a sneak peek at the all-new season of The Walking Dead – The Telltale Series. There’s been a lot of speculation since the conclusion of the previous season in 2014 on where the story will go next… and we’ve been working hard in the studio as well as with Robert Kirkman and our friends at Skybound to take the series in an unexpected direction.”"

Ooh. An unexpected direction. Whether that is a good or bad thing has yet to be seen, but given the way that Season 2 of The Walking Dead: The Telltale Series ended, it will be quite interesting to see how the story continues and which characters it will involve.

However, those will all remain up in the air for now. But perhaps some answers will come on Sunday’s live teaser on IGN.com.

Fans of The Walking Dead should definitely check out this fantastic game series from Telltale Games. With season 3 not being released until Fall, there is plenty of time for people to get caught up on the story before the new game is available…and it is highly recommended that you do just that.
