The Walking Dead star Ross Marquand stars in the fantastic new music video “Ambulance” by the band The Amazing, showing the actor slowly going insane.

When characters on AMC’s hit zombie survival drama The Walking Dead go insane, it’s nothing out of the ordinary. Spending that much time dealing with all the death and despair around them makes it easy to believe that living in the undead apocalypse is enough to make anyone go out of their mind.

However, the world of The Walking Dead isn’t the only place where you can watch actor Ross Marquand struggle with sanity. The actor who plays Aaron on AMC’s flagship program starred in a new music video for the band The Amazing titled “Ambulance” where you can see the actor going through the stages of insanity.

For those who haven’t seen the video yet, here it is as hosted on the official Pitchfork YouTube channel:

Throughout the video, Marquand’s character is teased with the images of a dark-haired woman in a dress who appears to be wherever he is. She follows him around the house, is on the beach when he’s there, and pops up just about everywhere. There are times it shows him in bed with the woman, but others when he wakes up and she isn’t there.

This is a great video to try to watch and figure out why the main character is falling apart, what the imagery around him means, and what else is going on around him while the video tells the story in small pieces.

The song itself is very catchy and fun, but fans of The Walking Dead will be very interested to watch Marquand in the video. For example, at the beginning of the video, he brings out a bag similar to the one he used when acting as the ambassador for Alexandria on the show, but this time, it’s for cash and medications, not photos of the walled community.

Also, Marquand looks to have channeled his inner Rick Grimes for some of the scenes, including his blank, yet fierce stare and strange method of walking when delusional.
