The Walking Dead: Memes get extra creative during the break

With no new episodes of The Walking Dead to work with during the summer for new material, the meme makers get extra creative.
Just because the show is on a break doesn’t mean we can take a break from The Walking Dead memes. In fact, we need memes even more during Walker Withdrawals.
But that’s not really a problem for the meme makers. They just turn up the creative dial a notch and use memes in new and different ways to keep us entertained with The Walking Dead all summer. I’ll show you what I mean.
Negan still the big topic, but it has been done to death, right? Well, there’s still a bit left to be squeezed out of Negan in meme-land. They just have taken a new twist.
Jeffrey Dean Morgan attended a charity event and was playing Jenga with a little boy at a children’s hospital. Adorable, right?
We move on from Negan and remember that we have Carol.
And then there are the Negan fans who enjoy taunting the rest of us and sticking up for Negan.

One meme maker moved on to joking about who they think got killed, but they took a clever and very round-about, but very The Walking Dead way, around the topic to add layers of funny to the meme.
Someone actually remembered Enid! Enid has a bit of time in her hands and has started writing in her diary.
Nostalgia starts to happen in the summer as well as the longing for October. And memers start to use things from The Walking Dead in other contexts and even things from other worlds, like the Mona Lisa, can somehow enter our zombie world.
Eugene’s mullet turns into a family game night board game.
Noah’s expression of terror turns into an expression of desire.
Mona Lisa needs a little comfort until October just like the rest of us.
Giving characters new dialogue is a great meme strategy.
Poor napalm walker looks like we feel in the heat and humidity of some cities in the summer!
Father’s day gave a little ammunition to Father Gabriel to get back on Rick for ripping down his flyers in Alexandria back in the day.

So the memes might dwindle a bit in the summer, but the meme makers still don’t let us down. They dig deeper and get more creative. We’ll have tons of crying “Is it October yet?” and bored face “Just waiting for The Walking Dead to return” memes as summer progresses, but hopefully, the real creativity will continue as well.
