The Walking Dead Attraction opens on the 4th of July

The Walking Dead Attraction at Universal Studios in Hollywood opens to the public on July 4th. Some cast members recently gotta sneak peek.
Several current and former cast members of The Walking Dead, including Scott Wilson, Michael Traynor, Brighton Sharbino, Kyla Kenedy, Addy Miller and Greg Nicotero attended the debut of the attraction last Tuesday, before the public opening on the 4th of July.
The seven minute interactive experience begins in the hospital where Rick woke up right outside the hallway leading to the cafeteria doors that are blocked with a 2 x4 and read “Don’t Dead, Open Inside.” It includes iconic moments and settings from all 6 seasons.
The actors are big chickens in real life. (And so am I!) Scott Wilson said he hoped he didn’t mess his pants and Michael Traynor hoped he could get through without screaming and crying too much.(Via USAToday)

Michael Traynor did a bunch of Tweeting about it. He used little Mika (Kyla) as a human sheild. Our favorite Talking Dead guest, Yvette Nicole Brown, joined him in his cowardly selfies.
Digital Spy calls the attraction “live horror genius with scares for newbies, brilliant Easter Eggs for the fans.”
"Rather than a ride, this is a walkthrough experience similar to the world-famous mazes that Universal Studios create for their annual Halloween Horror Nights events. But this one’s permanent, a new installation that takes you on a journey through the six seasons of the hugely successful TV show to date via recreations of classic moments, events and locations. There is more than enough in the attraction to independently scare the heck out of someone who has never seen or heard of the show, but this should certainly be at the top of everyWalking Dead fan’s To Do list – and they will probably want To Do it over and over and over again."

From the response I’ve seen on Facebook and Twitter so far to our other articles and photos we’ve shared about The Walking Dead Attraction, fans seem pretty excited about the experience and are hoping it’s successful enough to open another one in Florida.
