J.B. Smoove wants Jerry Seinfeld to watch The Walking Dead
By Susie Graham
Comedian J.B. Smoove joined Jerry Seinfeld on his Internet show on Crackle, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee, and the subject of zombies came up.
The fact that J. B. Smoove is a fan of The Walking Dead may not be a surprise to fans as he has been a guest on Talking Dead before. Recently, he was a guest on another talk show of sorts with Jerry Seinfeld.
J.B. and Jerry rode in a red Studebaker Avanti to a coffee shop to discuss comedy and just chat as is the modus operandi of Jerry’s show, per the title, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
They discussed the interesting features of the car, some comedy things, and J.B talked about the advantages of carrying a handkerchief with fake blood stains to get you out of trouble because “everyone respects a bloody nose.”
Then, rather innocently, J.B. confessed his fear that the zombie apocalypse was actually going to happen. Jerry needed some clarification on zombies. J.B. clarified that they are dead and now have come back so they are undead.
Jerry wanted to know what zombie movie or show was J.B.’s favorite. Of course, the answer was The Walking Dead. Then when Jerry, rather innocently, confessed that he hadn’t seen it, things turned into an episode of Seinfeld with J.B. as George Costanza.
Now they were off on a topic! The topic wasn’t necessarily that he hadn’t seen The Walking Dead, but what happens when you haven’t seen a show that your friend loves.

“I can’t believe!” “What’s wrong with you?”
Jerry lets him know he’s not the first person to be upset with him for not watching “their” favorite show. In true Jerry fashion, he begs us to stop doing this to each other. We have to stop being disgusted with those who haven’t watched our favorite shows!

I love Jerry Seinfeld, and normally I am all for freedom of not getting into things that others love, if you just don’t think you want to join that particular parade, but I have to say thank you to the person who badgered me to watch The Walking Dead. My life has never been the same!
