The Walking Dead: 2 Emmy nominations for ‘effects’ teams
By Susie Graham
While the acting, writing and directing are overlooked at the Emmys, the special effects cannot be denied. The Walking Dead is up for 2 awards this year.
The names in these categories may not be as familiar to us, but as The Walking Dead family, we know that the crew and all the teams are vital in the success of The Walking Dead.
Both nominations are for the episode No Way Out, which was the season 6B Valentine’s day premiere that had Daryl, Sasha and Abraham dealing with Negan’s biker gang and the group in Alexandria dealing with the herd.
Without going into spoilers, let me remind you of Carl, RPG, nibble, lake of fire, guts ponchos, and last stand to get you thinking about the two categories for nominations.

As someone who has many walker actor friends, those are names I am very familiar with from their conversations and their posts. The walkers have tremendous respect for their make-up artists and the work they do. They usually post their names when they post their walker photos on social media.
(Other shows in this category: All The Way, American Horror Story: Hotel, Game Of Thrones, and Penny Dreadful.)
