The Walking Dead season 7 to add more new characters
By Adam Carlson
Fans of The Walking Dead can expect to see several and unique new faces when the hit zombie survival drama returns to AMC for season 7 in October of 2016.
One of the most fun things about AMC’s The Walking Dead is how the show continually adds conflict and drama to test the survivors fans have grown to love over the years. Although the zombies themselves are a big test, the most interesting interactions come from meeting with other people and settlements.

Season 7 should be absolutely no exception to this phenomenon. With major plots developing involving The Saviors, The Hilltop, and Alexandria, it would be easy to assume that there are other settlements and individuals out there as well.
According to an article on ComicBook.com, there will be a lot of new faces adding to the already stellar cast of The Walking Dead, and that means fans will be learning about these individuals. Executive producer and special effects guru Greg Nicotero says the drama picks up rather quickly.
"“I think it’s safe to say that we’re going to get a chance to meet a lot of new people.”"
Nicotero says the drama picks up rather quickly. Much of the excitement could revolve around these new individuals and assessing whether or not they are friends or foes to the people of Alexandria.

"“You’re opening a new chapter and you’re going into a different direction, and that’s where we are, and it’s going to happen pretty rapidly and pretty dramatically as we get into episodes 1, 2, 3, and 4.”"
Hitting the ground running is something that ne seasons of The Walking Dead haven’t had much trouble with in the past. The season premieres have been some of the most action packed and dramatic in the series history, and Nicotero himself was tasked with directing the season 7 premiere.
"“We’re really going to get a great sense of a larger world and what these different communities are like, who the people are that are there and what they have to offer, so for us, it’s very exciting”"
