One of the most interesting things about the second half of season 2 is the debut of a new character called Luciana. Some of the trailers and teasers for upcoming episodes show her interacting with Nick Clark during his walk to Tijuana, but fans got a little more insight into the character thanks to a popular media outlet.

Check out this clip featuring Luciana, as played by Danay Garcia, as hosted on the Entertainment Tonight YouTube channel:

Hearing Danay Garcia describe her character as ‘brave’ is a great thing. To this point, survivors have mostly been dealing with the undead, but have been scared to face them head-on. Her aggressiveness in the clips so far have fans likening her to Michonne on The Walking Dead, but it has yet to be seen if her character can pull of that type of toughness on a regular basis.

If fans are worried about Garcia’s character acclimating to the zombie apocalypse, she put those worries aside quickly. The actress was quick to confirm that she is prepared for blood, guts, and anything else the series throws her way.

"“I’m not ready until I have blood in my face.”"

But there will also be plenty of the drama, excitement, adventure and intrigue from the other characters as well when AMC finally brings new episodes of the show to television.
