Revisiting the crazy fan theories for Negan and Lucille

Ever since the screen went black to end season 6 of The Walking Dead, fans started coming up with crazy theories to figure out who was Lucille’s victim.
The cliffhanger has been a point of anger, frustration, and indifference for fans of The Walking Dead. Many fans expected it. Many loved it. Many hated it. Many thought the show would lose viewers because of it. Many vowed to watch to find out the victim and then stop watching.
As much emotion and frustration and anger and denial as there was surrounding the finale of season 6, almost immediately, the emotions were channeled into figuring out who it was that got the bat.
Of course, the memes of the camera man getting the bat came out to use humor as a way of shaking of the idea of having the entire summer to wait for an answer.
Then, the zombie Davinci Code type memes came out. These were actually not too far off. All over Twitter and Facebook there were hand drawn pictures of the line up with arrows and ideas about who it might be based on shadows and counting.
Then came some real fan theories. Let’s revisit some of these theories now that time has passed and we’re getting closer to October.
