The Walking Dead: Rick Grimes Hallmark ornament arrives October 1st

Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments unveiled its 2016 collection in July, including its second ornament from The Walking Dead, Rick Grimes.

The 2015 collection debuted the first ornament from The Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon. This year Hallmark Keepsake ornaments will add leading man Rick Grimes.

The collectible Hallmark Keepsake ornaments began in 1973 with 6 glass ball ornaments and 12 yarn figures and has grown into an incredible collection and tradition that includes over 8,000 ornaments with a classic or a pop culture influence for your holidays.

Last year’s Daryl Dixon has gone up in price now because it is no longer on Hallmark. It’s around $28 on eBay and $34 on Amazon.

This year’s Rick Grimes is coming to stores soon! He is expected on Saturday, October 1st. I spoke with the associate at my local Hallmark and she said he will be in the store on that day. She also said that stores will be having events that week for the October release of many new ornaments.

I highly recommend heading to your Hallmark on October 1st, if you want to pick up Mr. Grimes for your tree. You might want to call ahead or drop into your local Hallmark and find out the details of the events planned. Maybe scope out things in advance.

Perhaps see if there are coupons or ask about where he will be on the display so you don’t have to waste time scanning the huge amount of Snoopys and Darth Vaders and George Baileys to find old Rick, only to have someone grab the last box as you reach for it.

The ornament is approximately 4.5 inches tall and comes in a package for storage and gift giving. He is expected to retail for $17.95.
