Talking Dead Recap: Fear the Walking Dead 213 ‘Date of Death’
By Susie Graham
Drew Scott from Property Brothers joined Lorenzo James Henrie and Elizabeth Rodriguez on the couch with Chris Hardwick on tonight’s Talking Dead.
Talking Dead was all about Chris tonight. Elizabeth Rodriquez, who played Liza, Chris’ mom had interesting things to say about watching Chris this season now that she is gone. She was surprised at some of Chris’ actions on tonight’s show.
Elizabeth thought Chris’ character might go in this dark direction when she left in season 1, but he’s really gone quickly. She made fun of the word “evolution” to describe it.
Lorenzo talked about the varied reaction of the fans–love and hate and combinations of love and hate. Drew Scott warned him to stay away from the fans that say they love him.

It was very interesting to hear the perspective of the actors on their characters as characters and as fans of the show. Lorenzo said he’s a Travis fan and he doesn’t like reading the things Chris does either. He said he even asked the writers to have Chris say “I love you” to Travis as the truck was driving away.
Cliff Curtis talked about how it’s difficult for Travis to see his son change this way, but as a fan, it’s interesting to see Chris adapt and understand the world faster than Travis and that he thinks a little part of Chris is trying to protect Travis by leaving him because he knows his dad can’t adapt and he knows that if Travis stays with these boys, that they will eventually kill Travis.
