The Walking Dead can’t escape the 2016 Presidential Election as Negan themed posters pop up in Los Angeles.

With all of the hype surrounding the return of The Walking Dead, it’s no wonder that the frenzy has grown into a fever pitch. That’s to be expected. After all, the last time we saw Rick Grimes and our group of friends, they were on their knees in front of one of the most reviled characters in cable television history.

Negan’s legend is more widely known because of what he’s about to do, namely kill at least one member of our TWD family, than he is for having done it. (All of that will certainly change after the Season 7 premiere, when he will be loathed in ways yet to be imagined)

It’s interesting how many people are talking about Negan, even though they don’t know much about him. (I’m referring specifically to those of us who have stayed away from the comics so that The Walking Dead television series is our only source material)

With all of the excitement brewing over the show, it is little wonder, that Negan-themed posters started popping up in Los Angeles on Saturday morning, and not in the way you might expect.

The posters, featuring red lettering and a blood splattered baseball bat that resembles Negan’s bat Lucille, call out Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton: “Negan wants 50% of your shit. Hillary demands it all.”

Artist Sabo, known for his conservative views, is the man behind the posters. He placed them near the AMC Studio offices and the CNN building in Los Angeles ahead of an anti-Hillary demonstration.

Sabo says he was inspired to create the posters after hearing Negan say that he wants 50% of what’s yours. It got him thinking about his views of the current political election, so he decided to create a visual display to express his views.

The Walking Dead airs Sundays at 9pm on AMC.
