Payne will be the second cast member of The Walking Dead on Talking Dead. Fans know him better as Paul “Jesus” Rovia, the mysterious and charismatic stranger Rick and Daryl met while scavenging for sorghum. The character was the one to bring the people from The Hilltop and Alexandria together and could feel some responsibility for the situations of both groups.

Kevin Smith does it all. He’s a known director, podcaster, comic book writer, author, comedian, and public speaker who has no shame when it comes to letting his inner nerd out. His love for The Walking Dead in every form has been on display on numerous occasions and he should be a valuable addition to the couch to add comedy and a fan perspective.
