The entire internet seemed to be talking about the scene from The Walking Dead season 7 midseason finale when the group reunited and were full of hope.

There were many great moments from the season 7 midseason premiere of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The episode brought the group from the lowest points in the history of the program to instilling hope once again.

This all culminated with a reunion inside the gates of The Hilltop near the end of the episode featuring Rick Grimes, Maggie, and the rest of the group of survivors realizing that together they might have the power to fight back against Negan and The Saviors.

Check out the touching scene from The Walking Dead season 7 midseason finale as shared on the official YouTube account of AMC:

Maggie once again climbed the ladder to the lookout station of The Hilltop. This time, her eyes followed something to the gates as she took a deep breath and formed a smile. Turning around, Maggie yells for Sasha and Enid.

Next, the gates are opened and it is revealed to be Rick Grimes and the people from Alexandria. Rick walks right up to Maggie and gives her a big hug. Rick makes sure she’s alright and Maggie says the baby is okay too.

Rick admits that he was wrong when it came to The Saviors and that he should have fought back. He tells Maggie that he gets it now, sharing the message that he is ready to take up arms against Negan’s men.

Then, Daryl and Jesus come out from behind a building to surprise the new guests. Rick looks at Maggie in disbelief before going over to Daryl and giving him a nod before going in for a big hug as well.

Even Sasha and Rosita get in on the appreciation, giving each other a nod of respect when the two previously had issues regarding Abraham in the past. Meanwhile, more hugs are shared all throughout the group with even Carl and Enid exchanging endearing looks.

Daryl reaches behind him and pulls Rick’s gun and hands it to him. Rick knows he is up for the fight and the group heads to the big house in The Hilltop to rally the rest of his troops to prepare for war.
