The Walking Dead issue 165 cover is bad news for comic fans

The Walking Dead teased issue 165 of the comic book series due for release in March of 2017, and it doesn’t look good for the future or a longtime survivor.
The Whisperer War hasn’t even come to an end, but a dark time for the survivors in The Walking Dead comic book series looks to be getting even more grim due to the release of a cover to tease an upcoming issue.
This Christmas, Image Comics and Skybound gave fans a sneak peek at the March 2017 issue titled “Opportunity”. Sadly, that sneak peek also showed a fan favorite character in a poor situation with possibly less hope than ever.
If you are not caught up in the comics, it is highly recommended that you get caught up before reading about this cover. For the rest, here is the cover as shared on the official The Walking Dead website:
At the end of issue 161, Sherry revealed that she was going to have the people of The Sanctuary attack Rick Grimes and the other survivors when they are weak following their war with The Whisperers.
It appears as though that is actually going to happen. It looks like Sherry, along with John, Tara, Mark, and others are marching on the blood covered ground. Sadly, Heath doesn’t seem to be in a good position, attempting to get away from them and the bodies around him.
The description for the issue 165 is eerie as well, stating “When Alexandria is at its weakest…they strike.” That should confirm that this is The Saviors and they are fed up with being ignored by the rest of the communities.
Next: When does TWD issue 162 come out?
So far, the losses haven’t been too bad during the war with The Whisperers, but there is still some fighting to be done against Beta and his group, as well as the undead army. However, the survivors are already exhausted, and The Hilltop has been burned to the ground, making it seem like the entire world in The Walking Dead comics could be up for grabs if Sherry and The Saviors execute this bold attack.
