Issue 163 of The Walking Dead expanded to 40 pages for 25 cents

Fans paying a quarter for issue 163 of The Walking Dead are in for a bit of a bonus, as the comic book has been expanded to 40 pages for February.
The war with The Whisperers has come to an end, but there is still plenty for readers of The Walking Dead comic book series to be excited for issue 163 being released on Wednesday, February 1, 2017.
Not only is a massive herd of walkers heading for Alexandria, but fans can get their hands on a copy of the comic for only 25 cents thanks to the 25th anniversary of Image Comics. This promotion could help to bring in new readers to the series or make casual readers into more regular customers.
Fans got even better news when Skybound announced that the issue titled “Conquered” would be expanded to 40 pages instead of the regular 22 pages. This is giving fans a lot more to enjoy for the tiny price tag on issue 163.

This issue will need the extra pages, as Rick was seen scrambling to prepare for the massive horde of walkers in Alexandria after the delivery of ammunition. But the danger the community is in will likely need a lot of extra coverage, and nobody is safe from an army of undead flesh-eating walkers.
"“The Direct Market helped make THE WALKING DEAD, INVINCIBLE, and OUTCAST the successful series they are today, and acknowledging that support is a big part of our agenda as Image turns 25 this year,” explained Robert Kirkman. “Comic book stores have made it easier for us to accomplish everything we’ve done since our last anniversary, so giving back just makes sense, even though it means we’re not making a dime off these books.”"
