Josh McDermitt hilarious in For Honor video game beta commercial

The Walking Dead’s Josh McDermitt might not be combat inclined, but he is a great spokesman for the beta of the upcoming combat video game For Honor.
Josh McDermitt’s character on The Walking Dead isn’t known for his ability to kick butt on a regular basis. However, the actor recently suited up in battle gear to help promote the upcoming video game For Honor.
The closed beta for For Honor starts on Thursday, January 26, and will conclude on Sunday, January 29 for gamers on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The game from Ubisoft is described as in this way on the official website:
"“Pierce the fog of war and join bold Knights, brutal Vikings, and deadly Samurais as they battle across lush, challenging battle maps. Master medieval weaponry and participate in brutal, fast-paced melee combat in an engaging story campaign and novel multiplayer modes.”"
To prepare for the closed beta and gather some awareness for the game, The Walking Dead star Josh McDermitt became the fierce warrior Dennis Swords to help recruit some players to the game.
Check out the video as shared on the YouTube account of Nerdist:
McDermitt is at his awkward comedy best in this sketch, trying to appear menacing while struggling with his weapons and armor while doing more damage to himself than the targets and dummies around him.
The main promotion is for The Faction War, where each group will go head-to-head for control. Here is a video of The Faction War from For Honor as shared on the Ubisoft YouTube account:
The folks from Nerdist will be participating in the closed beta and will also be live streaming the event on their Twitch channel. Individuals hoping to be part of the game can sign up for a beta pass on the official Ubisoft website.

Josh McDermitt can be seen as Eugene Porter when The Walking Dead returns to AMC for the second half of season 7 on February 12, 2017. In the meantime, check out For Honor and show off your gaming skills if you hope to impress Dennis Swords.
