The Walking Dead season 7B is just around the corner. New behind the scenes footage shows the journey that the survivors have been on in season 7 and what they’re facing as they rise up against Negan and the Saviors.
New episodes of The Walking Dead are less than two weeks away and already fans are excited. AMC released a new behind the scenes look at what’s coming in the back half of the season. The cast members as well as Scott Gimple and Gale Ann Hurd revealed that things are going to change quickly in the back eight episodes.
That’s good news for fans who struggled through the first eight episodes of the season. After the horrifying deaths of Glenn and Abe in the season premiere it took fans awhile to recover. The other seven episodes that have aired so far were bleak. The group was scattered and broken. It was as tough to watch them struggle as it was for the cast members to be separated from each other.
Norman Reedus recently said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Daryl being held captive and separated from the other cast members was painful for him personally as well painful for the character. He was not a fan of the group of being scattered and divided so he understood and sympathized with fans that had a hard time with it.
But in the midseason finale “Hearts Still Beating” Rick Grimes got his Colt revolver back. Daryl escaped and was reunited with the group. And fans got some long-awaited closure seeing Rick, Michonne, Carl, Tara and the others reunited with Maggie and Sasha. That’s just the beginning.
The Road To All Our War Starts Now
Now that Sheriff Rick is back and the others are ready to fight the group has to start preparing for war. According to the behind the scenes video released by AMC those preparations start right away in the midseason premiere, “Rock In The Road”.

The survivors have the will to fight again. But their will won’t be enough to take down Negan and the Saviors. They are going to need to find or make weapons. They will need to make some very careful battle plans. And they have to convince the other communities to join them. If the other communities don’t join the fight there is no way that Rick and the group can win.
The Resistance Rises
So all of their skills are going to be tested. And everyone is going to need to give it their all in order to have a chance at beating Negan. Negan is a tough and smart opponent. The Saviors are good fighters. And they are exceptionally well armed.
But Rick has something that Negan doesn’t have. He has a family that loves him. The survivors will fight and die for him if necessary. And for each other. That love, and their loyalty and commitment to each other may be exactly what takes Negan down. It may be the only thing that can.
Watch the behind the scenes video and get ready to rise up when The Walking Dead midseason premiere airs on February 12th.
