By Adam Carlson
How would Super Bowl 51 participants like Tom Brady, Matt Ryan, Rob Gronkowski, and others fare in the intense zombie apocalypse of The Walking Dead?
Surviving in the zombie apocalypse is a huge challenge. Many of the strongest and smartest survivors on the hit AMC television show The Walking Dead as well as the comic book series have met their doom at the hands of other humans or the undead.
Recently, Skybound took a look at the individuals from the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons playing in Super Bowl 51 to see if they have the skills to survive like Rick Grimes, Michonne, and the rest of the survivors fans have grown to love over the years.
For the full article, check out Skybound’s website for The Walking Dead, but here are some highlights from the evaluation as divided up by each team playing in the big game on Sunday, February 5, 2017:

- QB Tom Brady (Patriots)
- CB Malcolm Butler (Patriots)
- RB Devanta Freeman (Falcons)
- WR Julio Jones (Falcons)
- QB Matt Ryan (Falcons)
Least likely to survive:
- K Matt Bryant (Falcons)
- WR Julian Edelman (Patriots)
- DE Dwight Freeney (Falcons)
- TE Rob Gronkowski (Patriots)
The reasons given for some of these characters to survive or die in the zombie apocalypse are hilarious. In particular, Rob Gronkowski’s evaluation should elicit some chuckles.
"“Gronk would initially succeed in the apocalypse by serving as the muscle for any group, but would probably injure his back while trying to save others during a beer run.”"
