Norman Reedus of The Walking Dead thanks police officer for helping his mom
By Adam Carlson
When a police officer helped his mom who was stranded along side the road, The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus thanked the individual on social media.
Sometimes, it is hard to think of celebrities as being normal people with families and lives of their own. That is the case with people like Norman Reedus and the stars from AMC’s The Walking Dead, who seem larger than life on a weekly basis.
One reminder of the humanity of these television stars came on social media, where Reedus had a family member in a bad situation which required some help from an officer at the Benton Police Department.
Here is the photo and caption as shared on the Twitter account of Norman Reedus on Friday, February 3, 2017:
According to the story on the KTHV Little Rock, Arkansas website, Norman’s mother was having automobile problems which left her stranded along the side of the road in Benton, Arkansas.

Officer Stovall appeared on the scene and jump started the car, helping her get the vehicle to a nearby mechanic for assistance.
The Benton Police Department responded to Reedus’ thanks on their official Facebook account, where Officer Stovall had no idea he would be appearing on social media when he stopped to help.
"“I didn’t know at the time that she was the mom of a big Hollywood movie and TV star,” Officer Stovall said, “But I definitely know now!”"
Good deeds of police are often overlooked and the fact that Stovall would have done this service for anyone in need goes to show how great the law can be for the community.
