Katelyn Nacon of The Walking Dead explains Glenn’s impact on Enid
By Adam Carlson
Glenn helped Enid to make Alexandria her home on The Walking Dead, and actress Katelyn Nacon spoke about that development on the Walker Stalker Cruise.
When The Walking Dead introduced Enid, many fans were skeptical about the young lady. There were concerns she was a spy or was just there until a better opportunity comes along, but those thoughts have been put to rest following the character’s interactions with Glenn Rhee.
Enid struggled to find a home after watching her parents get brutally killed and eaten by walkers. It’s hard to blame the character for not wanting to get too attached to anything or wanting to settle down in one spot.
At this year’s Walker Stalker Cruise, the actress who plays Enid (Katelyn Nacon) discussed her character’s interactions with Glenn and how it helped develop the story going forward as shown in this photo shared on the official Walker Stalker Con Twitter account.
Enid constantly sneaking away from Alexandria and struggling to form relationships with people from the community before meeting Glenn were explained during the panel as shared on Comicbook.com:

"“She grew up without her parents. That’s how she learned how to survive, is on her own. That’s why she leaves Alexandria,” Nacon said about Enid. “Glenn showed her this whole other side to it and if he never did that, she’d be on her own.”"
It isn’t just Glenn who has been helping to get Enid to come out of her shell, it was Carl as well. The two young adults shared a kiss in the first half of season 7, bringing out questions of where this relationship could head in the future at her home with Maggie at The Hilltop.
"“She cared about Carl and she knew if she got closer to him it would just hurt and if she was dating Carl, there’s an aspect of that,” Nacon said. “She’s loved and she knew that she’d be better off there.”"
