Danay Garcia’s new film Loca, Trailer Released (Video)
By Nir Regev
Danay Garcia is starring in upcoming new film Loca, and a trailer has been released Fear the Walking Dead fans! See Luciana take on the challenging role.
Gabaeff Pictures’ latest movie will see Danay Garcia in a drug using (almost akin to Nick Clark)/drug pushing role as the lead character Loca. Written, Directed, and Produced by Nathan Gabaeff who was previously known for his 2015 film Boost, Garcia looks in top tier acting form in the new teaser trailer.
Within the first 15 seconds we see Garcia as Loca using a substance out of a vile up her nose. A departure from her current role on Fear the Walking Dead where she appears more of a clear cut pure good kind of character. Garcia’s Loca is said be an ex-gangmember in the film that once ran the influential Los Grajos crew before its untimely ruin.
Danay Garcia in Loca: Teaser Trailer
The film will be taking place in a Los Angeles setting, another Fear the Walking Dead similarity yet complete coincidence. We’ll see Loca deciding between revenge and survival as she takes on a rival crew and antagonist fresh out of jail ‘Joker’. Machete fans will recognize star Danny Trejo as ‘Antonio’ while Longmire watchers will be pleased to learn Lou Diamond Phillips will star as ‘Casper’. The Duff/Ouija star Bianca A. Santos also joins the cast as Inez.
Loca is currently listed in post production according to IMDB. An official release date has not yet been established but Loca is likely to see an official release sometime in 2017.
Danay Garcia expresses excitement over Loca on Twitter
It’s a hard hitting role for Garcia who already came out swinging on Fear the Walking Dead’s second season. Garcia is gradually building up quite a resume as an action star lead. Before Fear the Walking Dead she starred in Fox draw Prison Break as Sofia Lugo in a reoccurring role. Garcia has ventured out to interactive media as well, playing Alma Diaz in multi-platform video game Mafia III.
