The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan nominated for MTV Awards
The Walking Dead’s Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been nominated for Best TV Actor and Best TV Villain at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Vote now!
Over the years The Walking Dead has been snubbed from many awards shows despite some of the most compelling acting and stories on television. Most recently, however, Jeffrey Dean Morgan was honored at the 2016 Critics Choice Awards for Best Guest Performer in a drama for his role as Negan.
Now MTV is honoring Morgan’s performance with two nominations at the 2017 Movie & TV Awards: Best TV Actor and Best Villain. The TWD Family can help ensure Negan’s victory by voting HERE.
This is the first year that MTV is honoring television and movies at the same time and it means that the show will have a whole new feel. Best villain is a fairly new category but the nominees are always entertaining, and unlike the acting categories the Best Villain category features a blend of movie and television actors. The other nominees in the Best Villain category include Allison Williams (Get Out), Demogorgon (Stranger Things), Jared Leto (Suicide Squad), and Wes Bentley (American Horror Story: Roanoke)
Jeffrey Dean Morgan has been gaining a lot of attention for his role as Negan, and though he plays an evil villain, he’s a lot of fun to watch. That’s a credit to Morgan’s performance, and it’s nice to see that he’s being recognized for it. Hopefully, this spurs more awards recognition for the rest of The Walking Dead cast as well.
