We Haven’t Seen the Last of Glenn, Scott M. Gimple Fuels Speculation
By Nir Regev
The Walking Dead may not have seen the last of Glenn! According to a new interview with show runner Scott Gimple by TVLine, there’s a pretty good chance.
In a new interview published by Michael Ausiello on TVLine.com, with Walking Dead’s show runner Scott Gimple, talk arose that Glenn might make a cameo at some point. Based on Abraham’s flashback cameo in season 7’s finale and past episodes recalling The Governor, Beth, Lori and many others… There was always more than a partial chance we hadn’t seen the last of Glenn on The Walking Dead really.
However, now we have more than just a hunch based on past Walking Dead episodes. Gimple was asked directly what the odds were Glenn might appear in this manner in the future.
Here’s Scott Gimple’s Big Time Response:
“Pretty good, actually. As Maggie gets closer to giving birth, it’s certainly possible, that Steven Yeun might reprise his role for some newly created flashbacks or a vision or something. I’d be silly to say it isn’t.” – Scott Gimple
Let’s just hope this news doesn’t also correlate with Maggie Greene’s character end. Usually, when we tend to get these vision and flashback episodes they end with the character experiencing them meeting their own end.

Also important to keep in mind: Maggie is not close to delivering their child yet. Though it might seem like months have passed on the show, not that much time has passed yet. Will she make it in childbirth?
Perhaps Glenn will make an appearance to comfort her in a hallucination during the process? Remember, until last episode, Negan believed Maggie was dead, as Rick showed him a supposed burial spot in Alexandria.
Who knows what steps Negan will take now, that he’s aware Maggie is not only alive but assisting Rick with the Hilltop against the Saviors.
Whether we see Steven Yeun reprise his role as Glenn Rhee in season 8 or season 9 might be the bigger question. Based on Scott Gimple giving a practical thumbs up, wink wink, type answer instead of a general ‘You Never Know on The Walking Dead‘, it’s almost a lock we’ll see Glenn again on the show.

It appears to be more of a question of when, rather than if. Will Maggie Greene live through such a reunion, like farmer Rick and Lori or face demise like Tyreese and Sasha?
