The Walking Dead continues to set records with viewership of it’s zombie survival horror drama, even making television history after season 7 of the series.

In the midst of many fans and media outlets discussing doom and gloom regarding the ratings of AMC’s flagship program The Walking Dead, the hit zombie drama continued to bring in hordes of viewers, even setting a television record in the process.

According to a press release from AMC, The Walking Dead has been #1 show on television in the key 18-49 age grouping for 5 straight years now, and is the only drama ever to do in television history.

"“The Walking Dead” completed its seventh season Sunday night as the #1 show on television among adults 18-49 for the fifth consecutive year, the only drama in television history to hold the #1 title for five consecutive years.  “The Walking Dead” has extended its lead over the #2 program (“Big Bang Theory”, CBS) by 61% among adults 18-49."
