Debating the 9 Problems with The Walking Dead nobody wants to admit
By Adam Carlson
#1 – It needs an ending
As of this moment, there is no end in sight to The Walking Dead. The hit AMC show is still setting television records, the companion series got renewed for season 4, and the comic book series is in the middle of one of the most intense times ever.

Still, WhatCulture wants to see an endgame for the characters to work towards. There is no light at the end of the tunnel or carrot on a string to keep viewers moving toward. They cited recent ratings drops as well, saying it may force an end to the show based on disinterest.
But The Walking Dead doesn’t need an endgame as long as there are living characters who fans care about. The survival of their favorite characters is the dangling carrot that keeps many viewers tuned in, no matter if there isn’t a silver lining to this zombie story.
Of course, the most likely ending of the story will be the death of Rick Grimes. Rick has been the focus of the show and comics ever since he woke up from his coma in the hospital. Many fans see him as the center of the entire universe, and his downfall would signal its end.
However, it is too soon to be thinking of the end. As long as ratings are high and there is more story to tell, AMC’s flagship zombie show will live on!
