Two new characters have been added for season 8 of AMC’s The Walking Dead which could be around for the long haul in the zombie apocalypse.

Very little is known about the future on AMC’s The Walking Dead. Following the finale of season 7, fans have to endure a long wait until at least October for the premiere of season 8 of the hit zombie survival drama.

Thankfully, some details have been revealed about the upcoming season and TVLine shared them in their Ask Ausiello column. This time, it was about two characters who will be making their appearance when the show returns.

Here are the details about the the two recurring good guys, starting with information about a character named Dillon:

"“A sexy, blue-collar twentysomething whose survival skills include sarcasm”"

The other is named Abbud. Here is some information to describe him:

"“an innately likable Muslim American whose nerves are, let’s say, jangled, because he’s flown solo for too long in zombieland.”"

Both these characters sound quite interesting. However, TVLine does feel like one of them is more likely a better survivor and both have the chance to become a recurring character.

"“Of the pair, the former is likelier to survive the looming conflict — not only does Dillon sound like a less jerky Spencer, but the casting notice for the roles hints that the actor chosen might get picked up for subsequent seasons.”"
