Josh McDermitt of The Walking Dead leaves social media

Josh McDermitt is known as Eugene on The Walking Dead, but fans hoping to interact with him on social media were shocked to see his accounts deactivated.
For the most part, social media is a great place. Fans of The Walking Dead can engage in discussions and interact with celebrities or people with similar interests with just a few clicks of a keyboard on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or other online outlets.
However, fans hoping to interact with Josh McDermitt were in for a huge surprise when his entire social media presence was gone. His Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook have all be deactivated at the end of April.
McDermitt is known for his role as Eugene Porter on AMC’s hit zombie survival drama. As one of the most popular members of the cast, many were upset when his character made the jump to the dark side and joined Negan and The Saviors.

There are some rumors and rumblings that negativity from people on social media regarding the changes in his character are the reason for his deactivation, but nothing has been confirmed by McDermitt, his agent, or anyone close to the situation.
For now, fans can hope that McDermitt will return to social media soon. He was always one of the most fun follows on any form of social media and fans of The Walking Dead miss his witty and fun interactions.
However, if McDermitt truly is fed up with social media, there is a chance that he could be gone for good from Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

Fans can still catch Josh McDermitt at his convention appearances and can watch him when season 8 of The Walking Dead returns to AMC in October of 2017. In the meantime, everyone can hope that whatever caused the Eugene actor to leave social media will blow over and he will return in full force soon.
