Executive producer and special effects guru Greg Nicotero shared a video of a walker from AMC’s zombie show The Walking Dead on his Instagram account.

Fans of The Walking Dead love tuning in each week when there are new episodes of the hit AMC zombie survival drama to find out what will happen next to their favorite characters and how they will attempt to overcome the odds and stay alive.

But there is another part of the show that is often overlooked. It is the beauty that goes into creating the ‘monsters’ for the show and the amount of work that goes into the makeup, costumes, and acting can make or break a zombie scene.

Recently, special effects guru and executive producer Greg Nicotero shared a video on his personal Instagram account of a walker viewers may get to see during season 8 of AMC’s apocalyptic drama. Here is that video:

The scene being filmed, titled ‘Rabbit Season’ on the directors card, features a walker shambling past a tree with a yellow sign saying those exact words on them.

That sign is an automatic throwback for fans of Looney Tunes. It’s hard to see that sign and not think of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck taking turns tearing down the posters to confuse Elmer Fudd as to which animal he’d be hunting.

Check out the Looney Tunes video as hosted on the official YouTube channel of Boomerang:

The Walking Dead is known for paying homage to other horror films and including Easter eggs in many of their episodes. This one may be an obvious tease, or maybe even just something fun for fans on Nicotero’s Instagram, but hopefully it will make the cut for an episode in season 8.

Next: All named character deaths from season 7

What do you think? Would you like to see the ‘Rabbit Season’ scene included in a future episode of The Walking Dead or do you like it better as just a joke on Nicotero’s Instagram account? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
