Fear The Walking Dead, Eye Of The Beholder: Things To Note

18) Willy mentions to Travis that the dead seem to lose interest in a corpse when it’s body temperature decreases. This is the first time in either Walking Dead series we’ve heard what specifically causes the infected to stop eating a body.
19) Troy’s group has a pit full of infected in it. Hmm…this seems familiar.
20) Jake and Troy are the second good brother/bad brother combination in Fear. The first pair were the pirates Connor and Reed, whom we first met in “Blood In The Streets”.
21) When Madison thanks Travis just before the infected arrive, he replies “I had to get him back”. This sounds like Travis was trying to do right by Nick where he felt he failed Chris.
22) The scene of infected pulling Willy through the hole in the wall (And his spine being snapped in the process) seems like an homage to the 1988 remake of The Blob. In that movie, a local sheriff’s deputy was sucked through a bookcase in a parallel fashion. Incidentally, Frank Darabont, who was one the original executive producers of The Walking Dead, co-wrote the screenplay. . Additionally, Jeffrey DeMunn (Dale) played the town sheriff.
23) With his inviting facade, desire to learn so much about the nature of the infected, and having to wear an eyepatch, Troy reminds me of someone…I wonder who? Oh, yeah THE GOVERNOR.
