Those are lyrics from the Bob Seger song ‘Still The Same’, which discusses someone who takes a lot of gambles in their life but always seems to come out on top until that individual lost everything close to them because they were playing the game too hard.
That’s exactly what Victor Strand is doing in Fear The Walking Dead.
Of course Strand wanted out of that cell he’s trapped in, but when you try to manipulate someone who is a master of seeing through people and knows some of the shady things you’ve done in the past, odds are it’s time to finally be honest and not play games with people.
He’s already lost a lot of trust with people who have watched him play Thomas Abigail. Even if Strand may have had some kind of genuine feelings for Abigail, the main group, including Daniel, have seen him at work and knows that you can’t trust what comes out of his mouth.
