Preview: The Walking Dead July 2017 issue 169 ‘Lines We Cross’

Now that the situation involving the walkers at Alexandria, the war with The Whisperers, and the emotional impact of the last two issues are in the past, it is time to look ahead at The Walking Dead comics to see what is next.

The July 2017 issue looks to be a transitional one, where the focus will shift from fighting for their lives to grieving, rebuilding, and preparing for the future, which should be a refreshing change of pace from the insanity of previous issues.

Thankfully, TheWalkingDead.com released their preview panels for the upcoming issue titled ‘Lines We Cross’, and here they are as shared on their website:

The first panel appears to be Carl kneeling at a grave. It is likely that it is Andrea’s grave and his connection with her is something that could take him a while to fully be able to move on from, especially considering her relationship with his father.

In the second panel, residents are shoveling ashes and debris into the back of a truck while Rick Grimes watches on. With the zombie threat gone, it is time to clean up the area and try to get back to normal.

Finally, it looks like a favor will be asked of Jesus. Considering his willingness to work with everyone and curiosity for the outside world, whatever is being asked is likely something of importance which could be secret from others.
