The good stuff from Fear 307

  1. The fallout of humanity. It is finally interesting to see the topic of laws and humanity breaking down being discussed. When Walker and Jake were talking about the land where the ranch was built, the past was brought up…and it was quickly knocked down with a reminder that history no longer protects the survivors.
  2. Ofelia’s return. Although her location and allegiance were spoiled in photos teasing season 3, it was nice to see Ms. Salazar again. Now that fans finally know #WhereIsOfelia, it will be interesting to see what role she plays in the situation between the two communities.
  3. Travis is not forgotten. Seeing Alicia stand up to Walker when he was showing the helicopter and talking about how they inadvertently took Travis’ life gave more power to the death of Travis, which has largely been forgotten other than a few moments in passing conversation to this point.
  4. Perspective. Alicia listening to Walker after seeing what happened with the helicopter shows how much she has grown up to this point. Her willingness to hear about their story despite her skepticism could prove to be a valuable turn in her character and help her to stay around a lot longer.
  5. The Black Hat taking mercy. Ofelia was able to convince the group not to kill Jake, who was doing his best to try to smooth things over after the botched parlay. Thankfully, she was able to stop them before Jake was scalped, but it could mean horrible things for Troy.
