Elizabeth Ludlow of The Walking Dead joins Godzilla: King Of The Monsters

The highest ranking female of The Saviors on The Walking Dead will be battling bigger monsters than walkers in Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

On The Walking Dead, Elizabeth Ludlow plays Arat, Negan’s right hand woman and a high ranking member of The Saviors. The actress will be taking her apocalypse worthy fighting skills to the fight against Godzilla in the newest film in the Godzilla franchise titled King Of The Monsters which is slated for release in 2019.

According to Deadline, the highly anticipated new installment of the Godzilla films has a heavy hitting lineup that includes Vera Farmiga, Kyle Chandler, Stranger Things’ Millie Bobbie Brown, Bradley Whitford and Ken Watanabe.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that Arat won’t be appearing in season 8 of The Walking Dead however. Many of the cast from AMC’s zombie survival drama work on side projects when they are not filming for the beloved apocalypse survival show.

Most recently, Danai Gurira, who plays Michonne, filmed a role in Black Panther during her time off from The Walking Dead.

Arat’s Role with The Saviors

The Walking Dead fans were introduced to Arat in season 7. She’s a high ranking member of the Saviors and someone that Negan depends on. She’s loyal to Negan and has no problem killing the residents of Alexandria when necessary.

In season 7 Arat killed Olivia. And she cut Rosita’s face after Rosita took a shot at Negan with a bullet that Eugene made. In addition to causing Olivia’s death that incident resulted in Negan taking Eugene to The Sanctuary. After arriving at The Sanctuary Eugene turned on the Alexandrians and joined The Saviors.

Arat is an important member of The Saviors and a capable foot soldier for Negan. So it’s likely that she will play a role in the war that’s coming between The Saviors and the other communities. Negan is going to need all the help he can get battling the united communities who are sick of living under his thumb and dealing with his brutality.

Con Appearances

Despite a busy filming schedule Elizabeth Ludlow will be appearing at some cons in the coming month. Her next appearance is at Colorado Springs Comic Con at the end of August with other cast from The Walking Dead including Tom Payne, Scott Wilson, Michael Rooker and Jon Bernthal.
