What’s next for Nick Clark in Fear The Walking Dead season 3B?
By Adam Carlson
Nick Clark is making a big compromise during season 3 of Fear The Walking Dead, but will the character make some more big moves in the second half?
The evolution of Nick Clark on Fear The Walking Dead has been amazing. Introduced as a junkie just searching for his next fix, the character has cleaned up his act and even opened his heart to his family and other survivors in the zombie apocalypse.
At the end of the first half of season 3, Nick was put in a tough situation when Luciana left him and the people at the Broke Jaw Ranch to continue on her journey without her lover. Following that, Nick made the tough decision to stay with his family and not chase after her.
Not only that, but the ranch itself isn’t a safe place either. An intriguing and dangerous relationship with the mentally and emotionally unstable Troy Otto puts his life at risk every day he stays at the settlement.

In the second half of season 3, expect Nick to be on the move again. There is still a lot to explore regarding his plotline with Luciana, and that won’t happen at the ranch. Plus, there is no way the settlement stays safe with such a rocky relationship with the Black Hat Reservation.
While Nick will likely remain a nomad of sorts, he could possibly bring his family with him. He seems to be building a bond with his sister, Alicia, while also finally getting to know his mother better after choosing drugs over family for a large part of his life before the zombie outbreak.
The new style of Nick might be here to stay though. Altering his appearance to be a new man is important to his character to separate him from the Johnny Depp styled drug addict who struggled through the first two seasons of the show. He will keep learning more about himself, including his strengths and weaknesses, as the show goes on.
