What’s next for Ofelia Salazar in Fear The Walking Dead season 3B?

Ofelia Salazar was absent through much of the first half of Fear The Walking Dead season 3. But what is in store for her in remainder of the season?
Throughout most of the first half of Fear The Walking Dead, Ofelia Salazar wasn’t on the screen. In fact, Talking Dead turned it into a running gag on their program, creating the #WhereIsOfelia hashtag and teasing her return.
Finally, when she did appear, it was a bit of a surprise. Ofelia was staying with the group in direct conflict with her former traveling companions, unaware of the fact that the Clark family was at the Broke Jaw Ranch.
As part of the group at the Black Hat Reservation under control of Qaletaqa Walker, she worked for her keep. She was even used as a tool against the ranch, poisoning their coffee and killing several defenders of the camp.
With a truce being made between the two camps, Ofelia will likely have the choice of staying with the people on the reservation or going to stay at the ranch. Her role in the poisoning at the ranch may make her unwelcome there, but she also may enjoy the change of scenery and familiar faces.

In order create more tension and continue her character’s evolution, it would be best to keep her on the reservation. That way, flashes to the Black Hat won’t seem as forced and her character can be used to develop any conflict or partnership between the communities.
Past all that, the major issue at hand is that Ofelia still believes that her father Daniel died in the fire at the Abigail plantation. In addition, Daniel is under the impression that Ofelia may have been killed by walkers at the Rosarito Hotel.
This reunion between father and daughter will likely happen in the second half of season 3. But with him taking on a likely role at the dam and her on the reservation, a shortage of water could be the major factor that gets everything going.
However, the real drama will take place if father and daughter are on opposite sides of the conflict over the most essential resource in the world.
