What is next for Daniel Salazar when the popular AMC zombie survival drama series Fear The Walking Dead returns for the second half of season 3?

At one time, the future of Daniel Salazar was in doubt on Fear The Walking Dead. Last time fans saw him, he was in the wine cellar of the Abigail plantation with flames surrounding him from all directions.

However, he made his surprise return in the first half of season 3, offering Victor Strand a drink of water from a flask from the opposite side of a barred cell, making fans wonder he if he was real or a hallucination.

But his return was very real. In fact, his efforts in season 3 were essential in bringing water to many other survivors and eliminating a system gouging other civilizations desperately in need of help.

Now that the situation at the dam has been resolved, the future is wide open for Daniel. Sadly, he may feel quite lost at this moment, since he believes that his daughter is dead and doesn’t trust Strand or the other survivors.

He could stay and take on a leadership role at the dam. That would help to keep the system flowing in a fair fashion while also having a strong leadership willing to do anything to keep both peace and instill fear into anyone attempting to challenge for the position.

The main question is whether or not Daniel will be able to figure out that his daughter Ofelia is alive.  That is likely to happen when he interacts with a member of the group from the Broke Jaw Ranch or Black Hat reservation.

It is quite likely that he does interact with someone, but it will probably be Luciana who discovers him. Since she left the ranch, she could find him and they could discover through conversations that the group is there, even though she wouldn’t know about Ofelia’s presence there.

That could set up for a visit between the people of the dam and the ranch, in order to find out more about what happened with Ofelia. And this could all set up a really nice reunion in the second half of season 3.

Essentially, power and family are the two major points of emphasis to look for from Daniel Salazar for when Fear The Walking Dead returns for the second half of season 3 on AMC starting September 10, 2017. Don’t miss it!
