The Walking Dead: Our World revealed as Pokemon Go style mobile game

Fans of The Walking Dead and Pokemon Go should be very excited about the reveal of The Walking Dead: Our World, a mobile game based in the real world.
Video games have been using augmented reality for a while now. One of the most popular examples of this type of game is Pokemon Go, where gamers can go out into the world and discover creatures, take over control points, and more. Now, it appears as though the undead will be next to take over the AR realm.
Revealed today on the official YouTube channel of AMC, a video teaser for the upcoming mobile game from Next Games. Next Games already has the only official video game licensed by the AMC show, but is now broadening their reach by entering the AR market.

Honestly, the reveal trailer doesn’t give much away about the upcoming mobile game. A majority of the advertisement is focused on showing that the walkers will be appearing on your screen while out in the real world.

Using real life situations and showing what they would be like in the situation of a zombie apocalypse is a fun way to tease the game without giving away too much about what to expect when it releases.
And while Pokemon Go will be the closest example as to what to expect from Our World, if the gameplay is anything like the video, it will be more action oriented and less like the paper football style mechanics of Pokemon Go.
Including Daryl Dixon, Rick Grimes, and Michonne in the reveal was interesting as well. Since Next Games does have a license with AMC to use the characters, there could be a fun way to incorporate them into the augmented reality game in order to give the game a more genuine feeling like the show.
