One of the most interesting things for readers of the comic book series is watching the popular AMC show and seeing all the changes that are made from the page to the small screen for a television audience.

So far, I feel like the show has done a decent job of capturing Negan. His playful, yet brutal charm is captured well by Jeffrey Dean Morgan in a role that would be a huge challenge for some of the best actors out there.

Still, there are some minor changes. Fans of the show are enjoying a more scruffy version of Negan in season 8. While his comic counterpart is typically seen as clean-shaven, this facial hair helps to add to his character while giving a unique feel.

Overall, fans should be happy with the way Negan was presented. Such a complicated character needs a big personality, and JDM was exactly the right person to cast in order to bring him to life on the AMC show.
