The Walking Dead new season 8 trailer teases All Out War
By Sonya Iryna
A new teaser trailer for The Walking Dead season 8 shows Rick and the other survivors preparing for All Out War.
Comicbook has a new exclusive trailer for The Walking Dead season 8. Even though it’s just a short teaser trailer it will get fans even more excited for the upcoming season. Alexandria and the other communities are going to war. And this teaser, with a portion of one of Rick’s signature motivational speeches, shows that the communities intend to win.
There’s always a lot of excitement when The Walking Dead returns from hiatus but season 8 is especially exciting for fans. After season 7’s emotional deaths and Rick’s subsequent breakdown the coming war feels like justice for Glenn and Abe.
It’s also a big turning point for the overall story arc of The Walking Dead. The communities have to figure out how to build some kind of sustainable society. They can’t do that if they are living under Negan’s control. Or constantly having to worry about threats from The Saviors as well as the constant threat from the undead.
All Out War Is Officially Here
Fans have been referring to the upcoming battle between Negan and The Saviors and the community alliance as All Out War for some time. But this trailer is really the first time that season 8 has been officially referred to as All Out War.
While the war probably won’t last more than the first half of the season it’s going to make for a very exciting first half of season 8. It also brings up a lot of questions. What will happen to Negan and The Saviors if they lose? Will Rick kill Negan? Or is that cell that Morgan built in the basement finally going to have a permanent occupant? And will any other major characters die as a result of the war?
Casualties Of War
Losing Glenn and Abe in season 7 was tough for fans. And as exciting as All Out War is it also brings the possibility that more of Rick’s group could fall in the battle to take down Negan and The Saviors. This is The Walking Dead after all, and no one is ever safe.
