The Brains Gone Bad Podcast brings fans a fantasy game based on characters from The Walking Dead. Pit your strategic choices against other fans in the  Zombpocalypse Fantasy 5 game to see who comes out ahead in a host of categories.

Everyone has their favorites on The Walking Dead. But have you stopped to consider why you favor the ones that you do? Maggie has become a very strong leader. Rick is a no-nonsense negotiator. King Ezekiel is charming and loyal.

We all have our squad of personal favorites for our own personal reasons. But what makes a great character for the Zombpocalypse Fantasy 5 (ZF5) game?

The Brains Gone Bad podcast hosts the popular fantasy competition for both Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead series. If you are not already participating for Fear The Walking Dead, it’s too late for this season. But you are right on time to join The Walking Dead version.

How to join the game

Participants must submit their 5 characters by the deadline of 8:59 pm Eastern time before the  October 22nd premiere of The Walking Dead season 8. Contestants can select a total of 5 characters, 4 regular, and 1 wild card. Specific rules will be posted on the Brains Gone Bad Podcast Facebook page.

Points can be earned or lost based on a variety of categories such as walker kills and injuries. There is also a strategic multiplier component wherein your first choice carries more weight than your second, your second selection more than your third, and so on.

Kim and Lizzie, co-hosts of Brains Gone Bad, also offer a “Draft Night” podcast to go over the game in detail before each new season. Actors from both The Walking Dead and Fear The Walking Dead have played ZF5 in the past and hopefully will again.

Now most folks enjoy some friendly competition. But everyone enjoys prizes! Yes, there will be prizes on the line! Previous prizes have included merchandise from The Woodbury Shoppe in Senoia, GA where the The Walking Dead is filmed as well some fan art inspired by characters from the show. I look forward to finding out what will be up for grabs this time around.
