Which character from season 3 episode 14 of AMC’s Fear The Walking Dead was the Most Valuable Person? Here is our MVP from ‘El Matadero’.

There was a LOT going on in season 3 episode 14 of Fear The Walking Dead. Every main character of the series was represented in their own storylines and very few intertwined with others, giving fans a lot to enjoy and experience.

Choosing one character from the October 8, 2017 episode titled ‘El Matadero’ was a real challenge. While some character evolved, others had massive experiences which could impact their story going forward.

Still, a decision had to be made and an MVP award needed to be given out. So here is the big reveal:

The MVP for Fear The Walking Dead 314 is TROY OTTO!

This episode was a tough one to pick a character. In the end, it came down to Alicia Clark for finding someone to survive with or Troy for his work in (sort of) keeping tabs on Alicia and Nick Clark.

Coming into this week, Troy and Nick made the offer to keep an eye on Alicia when she went off on her own. The two weren’t able to be very sneaky in observing her but decided she will be okay on her own for now and returned to the group at the bazaar for the meetup with the people from the dam.

While there, we learned a lot more about Troy. In his bonding with Nick, we learned about him not drinking or doing drugs, likely because of watching the things his father did while intoxicated and not wanting to replicate that lifestyle.

Not knowing about Nick’s drug-addled past, he stuck by his new friend while drinks and drugs were freely flying. They did shots of the brainstem, which is kind of disgusting, but outside of Troy’s comfort zone as well.

Troy also learned more about how Nick has survived for so long. Going outside of the bazaar walls, Nick showed him the trick where they can sneak through groups of the undead without being noticed when covered in walker’s guts.

To this point, Troy had mostly been seen as crazy or as a villain, but seeing this side of him interacting with Nick gives hope that he can be a long-lasting character on the hit show.
