#2. Is Maggie in danger of Lori’s fate?
Reanna Sawatzky on Facebook asks: “If/ when Maggie’s baby is born. Will Maggie turn into a walker?”
I understand the concern for Maggie. So far, on the hit AMC show, childbirth in the zombie apocalypse has been far from efficient. Watching Lori Grimes die while giving birth to Judith is enough to scare any fan of a pregnant character.
Thankfully, the group is much more able to deal with any complications from pregnancy these days. With so many more individuals available to help and more technology available, viewers should be much more optimistic about Maggie’s chances if she survives long enough to deliver a child.
Sure, they’ll need to get the doctor back from The Sanctuary or learn as much about the process as possible before Maggie delivers the baby, but even those things are possible and maybe even likely solutions to the problem.
For now, don’t be too worried about Maggie dying during childbirth and coming back as a walker. Having her die now would be a huge mistake by AMC and not one I’d expect them to make anytime soon.
