Sitting Eric down next to a tree, Aaron says that he feels awful about pulling Eric into the war. Eric says he would have fought along his side no matter what, and he shouldn’t feel guilty for his efforts in persuading him to do battle.

Eric says that Aaron needs to go back to the fight and help the survivors from Alexandria take out the outpost. At first, Aaron disagrees and doesn’t want to leave Eric, but eventually, he decides to spend a few moments with Eric before going.

The two share a touching moment, sobbing while showing affection for each other. Eric tells Aaron that it is time to get back to the fight. They express their love for each other one more time before Aaron leaves him to return to war.
