The Walking Dead season 8, episode 7 preview: ‘Time for After’

On this week’s The Walking Dead, Negan is trying to piece together who betrayed the sanctity of Sanctuary.
Negan will have a true heart to heart talk with Dr. Smarty Pants on tonight’s episode of The Walking Dead. At the same time, Dr. Eugene Porter will also have a chat with ole’ Dwighty D about the need to stay quiet and passive throughout Negan’s investigation. What side will Eugene oblige to choose? On one side, Dwight protected him in a tense meeting with Savior henchmen over Eugene’s loyalty. On the other, Negan is the ultimate leader of Sanctuary wielding the most power, and he appears to like Eugene.
Meanwhile, we saw Rick Grimes get thrown aside into a rusty container by the Scavengers after making a plea for unity. Grimes clearly misjudged both Jadis’ willingness and the Scavengers as a whole, walking in with no backup to certain doom. He took the risk of risks and now he’s paying for it, dehumanized like another piece of scrap. Though Rick talked a big game about his people knowing he was there, the whole bluff backfired and no one from his group is the wiser. It’ll take a miracle of pure luck for the group to realize his unfortunate whereabouts.
The Walking Dead: ‘Time for After’ Sneak Peak
In the sneak peak of tonight’s The Walking Dead we see Negan commending Eugene on his intelligence in true Negan fashion. Since Negan has stated before he sees people as a resource, the last thing he wants to do is use Lucille on the poor fellow… That is unless he has to. Negan is merely imploring Eugene that If he saw something, he should say something.

Tonight’s Walking Dead episode preview shows Rick Grimes having another test of wills against a Scavenger bred-walker. We’ll find out if Eugene has an out-of-the-box idea to rid Sanctuary of its walker infestation, the threat of being shot looming otherwise.
Finally, Daryl’s crusade against the Saviors continues as he takes Michonne along for Sanctuary vengeance. Will Michonne go through with Daryl’s hunger for revenge? Or will she put an end to it, as she did to Rick in Alexandria after his monumental speech toward Deanna and her residents.
