The Walking Dead 812 synopsis: The Key

The Walking Dead continues with season 8 episode 12, “The Key.” Here’s your synopsis of the all-new episode airing March 11, 2018.

The Hilltop might be the last bastion in the fight against Negan and the Saviors, and that means it has a big target on it. This week the war edges closer to the Hilltop, and there’s a cool car chase.

Here’s the official synopsis of The Walking Dead “The Key” from AMC:

“Hilltop’s leadership faces a difficult dilemma after the arrival of unexpected visitors; Rick comes face to face with an adversary.”

If you’ve seen the previews for this week’s episode of The Walking Dead you might have noticed the car chase between Rick and Negan. It has been a while since we’ve been able to have a proper car chase on the show and it will be fun to see Negan on the defensive away from the Sanctuary.

As usual, the guy we have to watch out for is Simon, who just wants to hurt people. He seems to be toeing the Negan line about not killing people – for now – and his focus is hurting people with Walker-blood tainted weapons. However, Negan doesn’t know about the Scavengers and this could be the moment when he learns of their fate.

Maggie has been in a tough situation for a long while now and it will be nice to see her receive some support now that Rick, Daryl, Carol and the rest of the gang are there. From the look of things, Jerry has been helping Maggie out, which is a great pairing. She will need all the help she can get with all of the responsibilities she is juggling. Having those Savior prisoners isn’t safe and might be more of a liability than Jesus ever thought about when he made his case for saving them.
